The Cree LM16 50-watt halogen equivalent delivers 620 lumens and the 35-watt
halogen equivalent delivers 425 lumens. The new lamps are designed to provide a
minimum of 25,000 operating hours, reducing the need to replace lamps. The
50-watt equivalent is dimmable to five percent on a broad range of dimmers and
transformers. The new Cree LM16 LED Lamp is available in three beam angles,
including 17° spot, 25° flood and 40° wide flood. The technology and performance
of the new led high bay light demonstrates Cree’s commitment to accelerate the
adoption of LED lighting,” said Greg Merritt, vice president, marketing,
lighting at Cree. “Optimizing each design element – optics, drivers, thermal
management and our proprietary lens design, Cree continues to develop new LED
technology that is energy-efficient and provides outstanding performance and
value to our customers.”
Rambus Inc has developed a business alliance with the Elite Group, which
designs and distributes home goods, lighting and other consumable
products.According to Rambus, its LED bulbs are designed using MicroLens optical
technology that permits the use of a cylindrical light guide in the bulb. This
produces a consistent, spherical distribution of light, an open structure that
uses convection to keep the bulb cool, increases energy efficiency, improves
lifetime and reduces bill of materials cost with fewer or lower-powered
LEDs.
The Elite Group will promote and sell the Rambus LED bulb portfolio within
North America. This will includ Elite's current retail customers for its L'Image
Home Products division, which sells a portfolio of bulbs and lighting products
to major retailers such as Home Depot. The first Rambus LED bulbs will be
available at major retailers and professional channels in Q2 of 2013, however,
pricing details were not disclosed.Founded in 2005, San Francisco-based Adura
has led the development of radio frequency (RF) mesh networking technology that
allows individual light fixtures to communicate in a wireless mesh network with
switches, sensors and system management software. The led flood light wireless
standard-based technology enables energy-saving control solutions while
eliminating the cost of using wires to network all of the devices in the system.
Wireless controls technology improves the economics and feasibility of
installing lighting controls in a wide variety of new construction and
renovation projects.
