Kim started his career at Samsung Electronics Research Institute in 1987, and has also worked at Hewlett-Packard/Agilent Technologies and Lumileds Lighting Korea. His career at Philips Lighting Korea began in 2007, when he started overseeing the Korean sales divisions for the company.
The project has a payback of less than one year, producing annual energy savings over €300,000, as well as additional maintenance cost savings. The facility which operates its lighting nearly 24 hours a day also highlighted the significant reduction of heat produced by the lighting with the switch to Dialight’s LED fixtures and the consequent savings in energy cost.
The OLED supplier invested $4 million in Plextronics to accelerate the development and commercialization of solution-based LED material systems that incorporate Plextronics’ hole injection layer (HIL) and hole transport materials with its phosphorescent LED emissive layer materials.
