The Philips LED and dimming solution on the led high bay light will save more up to 40% of the energy currently consumed by the previously lighting on the highway, with a similar reduction in CO2 emissions from the energy use.
Frank van der Vloed, General Manager, Philips Lighting Benelux, pointed out that “The aim for our collaboration with the Rijkswaterstaat is to implement lighting solutions that both save energy and require less maintenance work on the roads. Together, we will help provide a safe night time driving experience while helping to lower energy consumption.”
Wellypower Optronics reported NT$807 million (US$26.78 million) in November 2010 consolidated revenues, up 5.66% sequentially, in which Taiwan company's LED chip packaging and CCFL businesses contributed NT$429 million and NT$340 million, respectively, to represent 53.18% and 42.24% of November revenues.
Unity Opto Technology posted November revenues were NT$560 million (US$18.586 million), up 1.8% sequentially and LED Linear high bay light on year, with stronger demand for medium-to-large-size backlight applications. The revenues from January through November totaled NT$6.26 billion, up 73% compared to 2009.
