The Taiwanese leading manufacturer in high power LED market
Making the most out of LED technology, GlacialLight's led high bay light converts electricity to light with outstanding efficiency. Compared to equivalent mercury flood lights, this LED flood light consumes far less power for the same light output. The whole fixture of the GL-FL180-WW delivers the luminous efficacy of 63 lumens per watt, and the GL-FL180-CW has a luminous efficacy of 79 lumens per watt.
Two color variants of GL-FL180 are available. GL-FL180-WW provides a 3000K (Warm White) beam with a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 80, and GL-FL180-CW, which illuminates with a 5700K (Cool White) beam and a CRI of 70.

Epistar Corporation, located in the Hsinchu Science-based Industrial Park, Taiwan, manufactures high brightness LEDs of compact size, low power consumption and long operation life. They are widely used in areas such as fax machines, scanner lighting, automotive interior and exterior lighting, LCD backlighting, outdoor/indoor displays, traffic signals, indicators for various consumer electronic equipment and eventually light sources for general illumination. Epistar has successfully commercialized the full spectrum range of high brightness LEDs.
Under a successful Beta test at a Florida Lexus car dealership, which provided valuable rollout information, SavWatt USA, Inc. has decided to cooperate with their supplier Unilumin, one of the few Chinese companies that have UL approval for LED Street Lights in Shenzhen ,to launch an aggressive marketing campaign for their UL approved and certified LED Street Lights.Jou also predicted that global shipments of LED TVs would grow in 2011 at twice the rate seen in 2010, but he did not offer specific figures.
Meanwhile, Jou pointed out that LED illumination products now account for some 20 percent of the company's total revenues, but he believed there still remained considerable room for growth.Additionally, Jou said that Epistar had expanded its production by 30 to 40 percent this year and would likely expand it by another 30 percent next year.

As the sapphire market became stronger
As the sapphire market became stronger, Taiwan quartz components maker TXC planed to develop sapphire and other crystalline products. It is reported that the company will establish crystal growth capacity and start production in February 2011.
Also, wafer slicing and sapphire substrate manufacturing is in the new crystal growth processing operations. TXC planned to invest total NT$300 million (US$9.7 million) initially, with focus on 4- and 6-inch sapphire substrates development.
TXC planned to order 10 crystal-growing furnaces, and achieve a total about 100 units in a year. At the end of 2010, the company will start move-in facility.
German LED maker LayTec has ranked among the national 50 fastest growing technology companies for the second time at the Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 award ceremony in Berlin on October 20, 2010.
