The company won awards in the Specialty Lighting category for Lumentalk?, a breakthrough new technology enabling digital lighting control over electrical power lines, and Lumensub?, a submersible luminaire for underwater use. Lumenfacade? Horizontal and Lumenbeam led high bay light were recognized in the Cove/Linear and High Bay Lighting categories, while the award for Most Creative Use of Color went to Vancouver’s BC Place Stadium, a Lumenpulse installation designed by C.M. Kling & Associates. A Market Leadership award was given for Best Catalog.
The Architectural SSL PIA awards program was established to recognize innovative developments in the LED lighting market. A panel comprising 24 distinguished designers and lighting specialists reviewed submissions based on industry-leading performance and functionality. Last year, Lumenpulse received two PIA awards for its Lumencove? and Lumenbeam products.
“By winning six PIA 2012 awards, Lumenpulse has cemented its reputation for innovation,” said Fran?ois-Xavier Souvay, Founder, President and CEO of Lumenpulse. “We founded Lumenpulse with a mission to completely transform the world of architectural lighting – using fixtures that combine our proprietary LED technology with great industrial design to bring tangible benefits to the specification community.”
Design Lights Consortium, or DLC, was conceived as an independent certifier for solid state lighting. DLC certifies LED luminaires in seventeen application categories, making it easier for consumers of certified led linear high bay light to receive energy efficiency rebates from utility companies. One of the most important categories is the "Retrofit Kits for Outdoor Area and Roadway Luminaires" as it encompasses a huge range of area lighting applications with pre-existing fixtures fitted with inadequate light sources.
