This can save anywhere from weeks to months of design time for a complex design

LED lighting design requires a complex set of calculations with custom firmware to deliver consistent color. The two biggest problems that LED lighting engineers face are having to account for differing LED performance specifications based on manufacturing bins and the LEDs' degradation.over different temperatures. With PSoC Designer 5.0, designers simply select a color from a gamut presented on-screen. Pre-loaded manufacturers' bin specifications and choice of either temperature or optical feedback algorithms are automatically applied to the selected design and programmed into an led high bay light controller. This can save anywhere from weeks to months of design time for a complex design.

EZ-Color LED controllers can support up to 16 LED strings, compared to four or five strings for competitive devices. The additional strings can mean a savings of dozens or even hundreds of controllers in very large designs, cutting design complexity, power consumption and board space. The EZ-Color LED controllers are powered by Cypress patent pending PrISM(TM) (Precise Illumination Signal Modulation) technology. The PrISM modulation technology significantly reduces low-frequency flicker and radiated electro-magnetic interference (EMI)--common problems in LED lighting designs. Designers also have the flexibility to add additional functionality to the EZ-Color controllers, including battery charging, motor control, thermal feedback, programmable control gear and other features.

In order to better provide these benefits and control in-house its manufacturing processes, LUXINTEC has incorporated to its factory of the led high bay light of Boecillo a Surface Mounting Device line–also known as SMD line.Such machinery is specific for the correct positioning of electronic components involved in the final LED system solution. As a result of this investment, LUXINTEC foresees a substantial increase of its production capacity in order to be able to respond to the demands of its current and target partners. In addition, the enterprise aims to improve its control over the manufacturing cycles and reduce the times of introduction of its LED solutions into the market.

A senior analyst pointed out that the price falls of LEDs

All three new LED recessed mini swivel lights offer bright, white LEDs, are very energy-efficient, using from 1.25 to 3.75 watts of electricity, have a rated life of 60,000 hours, and swivel 30 degrees in any direction to help direct the light where it is needed. The specific products include an LED recessed mini swivel light with one LED, an LED recessed mini visor led high bay light with one LED, and an LED 3-watt recessed mini swivel light with three LEDs. Each of these products are perfect for use in lighting cabinets, display cases, retail environments, architectural built-ins, back bar displays, museums, art galleries, and entertainment centers.

LEDinside forecasts that LED-BLU models would account for 30% of the overall notebook PCs produced in 2009, while the rate would climb to 60% by 2010. Another market-research firm said the penetration rate of LED BLUs in the hot netbook application is expected to be as high as 100%. In addition, global shipments of notebook PCs are forecasted to grow by 17.19% to reach 150 million units by 2009, with major growth momentum coming from rapidly increasing sales of netbooks, replacement of desktop PCs by notebook PCs.

A senior analyst pointed out that the price falls of LEDs and the upgraded light-guide technologies have helped to raise the penetration of LED BLU in notebook PCs. Some major vendors, especially Acer, Dell etc., have announced to continue raising the use of LEDs, hence driving the trend in the business.Hella's LED headlamp technology is used for low- and high-beam functions on the recently introduced 2009 model Cadillac Escalade Platinum. The led flood light is reportedly the first high-volume vehicle in the world to be equipped with LED headlamps. LEDs emit light considerably closer to daylight, improving perception when driving during twilight and darkness, as well as increasing overall driver comfort and safety.

Excellent composite heat management

Liquidleds LITMS, which had already obtained the multinational patent, solved 3 great difficult problems described above together. It no longer uses back-side heat slug type that LED products generally adopt to heat dissipation, but around metal column near the crystalline grain AC LED. This lets the LED conduct forward. In addition, unique patent fill a prescription liquid, to carry on the all dispelling the heat to the type of 160w chip led high bay. This fully utilizes different heat dissipation characteristics among metal, liquid, the former heat conduction quick. The latter specific heat high, under mechanism that collocate each other, let high power AC LED bulb get good control and settlement on heat dissipation problem.

The CEO of Liquidleds Lighting Corp express:By LITMS patented technology, we can solve the narrow beam angel defect of LED product, enlarge the beam angle and gain the uniform illumination of AC LED bulb effectively.

The enhancement of heat dissipation to reduce the junction working temperature ; Excellent composite heat management, comprised the front end light cover and/or the back side heat sink heat dissipation system.A thermal conductor extending in the liquid to evenly transfer heat from the LED module through the liquid to the light cover.Extensive beam angle and gain the uniform illumination purpose ; A LED source light penetrates through the liquid. how do i test led high bay for quality.A working LED module the source heat generated, similar in the center of ball, the heat conductive to the surface of ball with the shortest path and in the smallest profile.

the market for micro projectors

Leading LED manufacturers have responded by buying their own fixture makers. Earlier this year, Cree purchased LED Lighting Fixtures Inc., and Lighting Science Group Corp., a New York-based LED product company, purchased Netherlands-based Lighting Partner BV.The pure RGB color from the PhlatLight LEDs produce a brighter more vivid image than the led flood light brightness specs would suggest, for a picture that’s easily viewable when projected to a 40-inch size even in a well-lit office. These projectors consume approximately one-third the power of comparable lamp-based projectors and produce an instant-on image at full brightness without the cost and inconvenience of lamp replacement. Both projectors were recently demonstrated at IFA in Berlin and are launching to worldwide distribution. The Samsung P400 is now shipping in the US.

In addition, Taiwan-based LED packaging company Everlight has received high-power LED orders to be used in micro projectors with shipments starting in September, said a recent report. Although initial order volumes are limited, Everlight is the first to enter the market for micro projectors in Taiwan, according to market sources. The market sources noted that micro-projectors are a newly developed product and most vendors are using LEDs from US or European LED makers. Everlight is the first Taiwan-based LED maker to provide high-power LEDs to micro projector vendors.

Everlight indicated that micro projectors require better color saturation and hence RGB LEDs will be used as the light source. Initial monthly shipment estimates are for about 10,000 units, but orders are expected to grow as the market for micro projectors matures in 2009.Industry players estimated that the market for micro projectors and micro projectors built into handsets may reach 2.34 million units in 2010. However, Taiwan-based Lite-On Technology remains conservative about the new market noting that led high bay light typically deliver only one-sixth the brightness of alternative projector light sources. Lite-On said it believes the growth of the micro projector market is limited and it is not considering joining the market at this time.

what form did this sneak attack take

It will be recorded that the distance from a government-inspired concept to an actual policy makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time the led flood light has deliberately sought to deceive the solid state lighting community by their cooperative approach and expressions of hope for continued peace.

So what form did this sneak attack take? In a June 2 letter to lighting "manufacturers and other interested parties" the EPA announced a "technical amendment", version 4.2, to the Energy Star residential light fixture (RLF), ceiling fan and vent fan specifications that is of immediate effect in allowing LED light fixtures to achieve the Energy Star mark. It does that by allowing qualification to "new testing procedures" that are somewhat useful but unproven, unqualified at the fixture level and without quantitative history to substantiate their predictive reliability. In addition, the spec itself is directly contrary to the SSL and lighting industry consensus that agreed that the "dim and harsh" factor was a major consumer turn-off with regard to CFL technology at its introduction. Unappealing and ineffective CFL lamps introduced into the residential market caused a general rejection of that technology and set back the pace of adoption on the order of a decade.

The EPA's answer is apparently to repeat the mistake by allowing residential luminaires throwing out as little as lumens to qualify as long as the light engine inside generates 40 lumens/watt with a CCT that can be as harsh as 6500K. Oh, and you have to label it with wording such as "This fixture produces light equivalent to a 6 watt incandescent bulb" in accordance with a handy reference chart. If your integral light engine produces 40 to 69 lumens, you simply need to label it as "equivalent to a 6 watt incandescent bulb". For reference, my wife and son use those leftover 40 lumen bulbs in their tabletop snow village display each Christmas because they're too dim for use as decent nightlights! The EPA figures that qualifying the led high bay light engine inside the fixture is sufficient. So, you can grab your Energy Star mark, push a grand 10 lumens out of a crummy LED "reading light" and claim it is as bright a 40-watt bulb because your "LED light engine" inside the fixture produces between 450 and 799 lumens that are going who knows where. That will get them flocking to the stores to buy one for every room in the house!

the initiative to identify the project

The solar lighting systems were recently installed in the Peruvian communities of Nuevo Amanecer, Marcas, Quilca, Yanapampa, Huancho, Buenavista, Tantas, Uchapa, Chacará, Huayao and Castrovirreyna. The solar lighting systems are lighting streets, pathways, and community "plaza" squares.

"We felt compelled to do what we could for the victims of this earthquake and we thought that our solar lighting would help address some of the challenges facing these communities so affected by this tragedy." said Michael W. Sonnenfeldt, chairman of Sol Inc. "Public lighting is often critically important to the economic and social activities of a community and our solar lights will enhance the safety and security of these communities. Public lighting extends the daily life of a small town whether it is for children playing or allowing a market to remain open a few hours longer. We learned from our previous relief efforts donating solar lighting units to New Orleans and other Gulf Coast cities affected by Hurricane Katrina that working with local government agencies and world class relief agencies involved in the recovery efforts is critically important to ensure the successful installation of the donated solar lights. Practical Action really made this happen."

Sol took the initiative to identify the project, the local needs, and arranged for a donor who could rely on Sol to manage the entire process from beginning to end. Sol donated all of the logistical efforts to augment the contributions to make the project happen.

Philanthropist David Russell, who underwrote the project added; "I wanted to help the victims of the earthquake, but I wanted to fund a specific effort where I could be sure where my contribution was going, and for what. Sol provided a complete solution that literally allowed me to write a single check, and they took care of the rest, professionally and in very difficult and complicated circumstances. This opens up a whole range of possibilities for foundations and philanthropists who often have the intent but not the infrastructure to help victims of one type of disaster or another."

"In the evening, families would normally retreat into their households. Thanks to the efforts of Practical Action and Sol Inc., people now gather under the solar lights for social activities and watch their children play in a secure environment," said Federico Salas, Governor of Huancavelica Region in Peru, the region most affected by the earthquake.
