These LED modules are suitable for a wide range of different applications
LEDs could provide a diffuse-area light source for LEDs, and supply more practical for general ambient lighting. The pilot facility would display the scalability of UDC’s phosphorescent led high bay light and materials for the manufacture of white OLED lighting panels ,which was the first of its kind in the U.S, and it would be designed, built and operated by Moser Baer and utilize key manufacturing processes to produce more than 1,000 panels per day.
A leader of DOE noted this new DOE initiative had been designed to establish and maintain U.S. leadership in solid-state lighting manufacturing. The Recovery Act funding would help development of OLED lighting industry in the U.S.
The project aimed that how DOE partnerships drive innovative technologies into the market, foster new industries, and create high-tech jobs. It is said that the pilot line would create more than 50 high tech jobs in Canandaigua by 2012.
OSRAM expands its product portfolio with LED solutions for the entertainment, architainment and special effects lighting market. With Zelion H, the company presents a robust LED module for variable use in a number of different applications.Until recently, professionals tended to use halogen lights for lighting production of spectacular stage shows or buildings; now, though, OSRAM Zelion H offers a particularly energy-efficient, durable and robust alternative. Compact, available in light colours white, red, blue and green and with two different reflectors (6° and 10°), this module with its flexible applications impresses with its very high axial luminous intensity, achieved with the aid of four highly efficient light diodes in combination with an optimised reflector design.
These LED modules are suitable for a wide range of different applications and are easy to integrate into different luminaires. Extensive optical and thermal simulations and tests throughout the development process, including some in the airfield sector, have made LED Linear high bay light an adaptable light source suitable for a wide range of applications. It will continue to perform even when conditions turn somewhat rougher, for example as the result of vibrations during a concert.

the holder of more than a dozen LED design and application patents
LEDs in lighting applications have seen tremendous growth over the last years. Largest upcoming potential is currently led high bay light for LCDs. The second wave of business growth will go hand in hand with the continuous rise of energy saving lighting applications for indoor and outdoor use. "We are confident that the addition of such top professionals to our team will enable us to achieve our ambitious plans on the global market," added Alexey Kovsh, Executive Vice President of Optogan Group.
Markus graduated from the University of Regensburg (Germany) and Reading University (UK) with degrees in Physics, specializing in Semiconductors and Crystallography. From his engineering background he is the holder of more than a dozen LED design and application patents.
We see a tremendous opportunity to help our Asian customers to 'go faster' to advance brightness and decrease the cost of LEDs," commented Mr. Peeler. "Veeco intends to provide an unprecedented level of technology development on latest-generation metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) systems, customer training, and world class service and support."
As our Asian customers continue to accelerate the pace of adoption of LEDs for consumer electronics and solid-state lighting, we believe this strategic investment of more than $25 million will LED Linear high bay light position Veeco as the region's top equipment supplier and ensure the mutual success of Veeco and our customers. Over time, we will also leverage these new sites to support our customers in Solar and other clean tech markets."

It will cover lighting for household
In FSP's revenues, lower profit margin products accounted for only 30%, and contributions from newer and more profitable products applied led high bay light, LCD TV and LED lighting have increased to 10%, 19% and 2%, respectively.
It will cover lighting for household, commercial, industrial, office and outdoor applications, as well as LED technology, parts and accessories, control systems, manufacturing equipment and instrument sections.
The red LED chips have a horizontal structure to satisfy chip-on-board (COB) packages for lighting applications which require multiple chips mounted in series on non-conductive substrates.
Furthermore, these red chips could be combined with other colors to enable warm-white LEDs with higher efficacy and a better color rendering index than would be achieved through conventional blue LED conversion with phosphors.
Epistar noted that novel light-extracting technology had enabled an increase from 133 lm/W to 168 lm/W. The chart showed the new generation of Aquarius-series chips with higher efficacy and lower forward LED high bay lighting voltage as compared to previously announced AX14. The new LEDs were already in motion to transfer the technology to Epistar's product line. Further development of higher-efficacy AlGaInP LEDs was also under way.

with brighter light color on the road and a longer life span
The Alliance's engineers have designed a cost-effective LED-based headlamp,
combining enhanced illumination close to daylight and distinctive style. While
the Nissan Leaf LED headlamp is cost and energy efficient, it delivers a high
level of performance, with brighter light color on the road and a longer life
span.
The optical system provides multiple innovative front lighting solutions: the collector and reflector are combined as a single thermoplastic part with no lens, giving it a more distinctive look than a conventional headlamp.
With a flux on the road of more than 500 lumens, the wide beam offers a good range and high homogeneity. Thanks to its color temperature of 5500K, it has been ranked at the level of HID lamps during night test comparisons with different mass production headlamps.
This low beam module is the first on the market with efficient power consumption as low as 50W per vehicle, using only 2 LED per headlamp. The 2 LED-based design saves 30% more energy than the best 3 LED-based headlamps currently on the market (70W).
Compared with other light sources, it saves up to 49% with Xenon systems (90W) and 62% with Halogen (130W). The benefit is also very high for conventional internal combustion engine vehicles with an average CO2 saving of 1g per km.

An Accelerated Performance Roadmap for LED Lighting
DOE has also included categories for replacement bulbs and lighting control devices in 2010.According to DOE, though LED fixtures may cost more up front, the long term payback is mighty attractive. The economics of LED lighting have already prompted large scale installations and retrofits, such as new LED lighting at Pittsburgh International Airport. The payback window is also narrowing as the research advances and costs go down. The Oak Ridge National Laboratory has come up with a low cost graphite foam to use as a cooling agent for extending the lifespan of LEDs.As technological improvements boost their power, new applications for LEDs are also in store. In September a Finnish company announced a powerful new LED light that can be used in aviation beacons – quite a step up from the familiar LED novelty toys of the past.
With the state government persuading all puja committees to install LED lamps, organizers of Bosepukur Talbagan Puja have decided to light up the road outside the pandal with LED light. It will be difficult to use LED bulbs in the pandal because these are far more expensive than the normal lights," said Subhendu Ghosh of Bosepukur Talbagan Puja committee. Not doubting the fact that electricity consumption would be far lesser with LED, saving huge costs, he added, "We have to keep in mind the style and effect planned for the pandal... therefore, availability of LED bulbs is also factor."
Peter Ngai, the company's Vice President of Research and Development, will present "An Accelerated Performance Roadmap for LED Lighting," to discuss the design, performance and sustainability requirements needed from OLED panel manufacturers for the technology to be viable in general lighting and illumination applications.BetaLED, focusing on exterior lighting products and innovations including those for street lighting, area and pathway lighting, illumination for parking structures, specialised tunnel lighting, flood lights and security and perimeter lighting among others.
